How it Works
Create
Volunteers knit and crochet shawls. We have designated funds to provide yarn, needles, etc. to those who will be making the shawls, if they request them.
Deliver
Shawls are mailed and delivered by our team to those in need and those who request them.
Receive
Shawls provide levels of healing, support and comfort to people who experience loss, isolation, fear, loneliness, anxiety, despair, hopelessness, grief, etc. They also provide a much-needed hug.
The Blessing
Each shawl is blessed before being delivered to each recipient.
Blessing Prayer
Gracious God, enfold your servant N. in your healing love and bless this serenity prayer shawl to be a tangible reminder of your presence. May the one who wears it feel wrapped in your peace and in the prayers of their community; may fear, worry, and pain be relieved; and may strength, courage, and patience to fill their heart. We pray in your most holy name. Amen.
The Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
